Galaxy WatchI have a Galaxy Watch 8. I have a Pixel Phone 9. Gemini is on my Watch but every time I try to use it, I get a message it's not connected to the internet. The watch is connected to my phone and is connected via Wi-Fi to the proper network in my home. Any help?

Galaxy WatchDo you have wi-fi on on the watch? You need to have it on on the watch as well. It only connects to wi-fi when it needs to, it's not active all the time and it will not drain your battery just by being on. To use Google services on the watch, wi-fi generally has to be turned on, this includes if you use G-Board and want to use the voice to text. It also keeps your watch connected to your phone (if you have remote connection on), if you are out of BT range.

Galaxy WatchThank you for the quick response. Yes, I do have Wi-Fi on. I doubled checked it just now. I still get an error message on Gemini that my watch is not connected to the Internet.

Galaxy WatchHave you made sure that it's not just on, but actually connected to your wi-fi network? In most cases, the networks you set on your phone populate on your watch, but sometimes it does not. You may have to configure the network on the watch in order for it to be automatically connected.
Go to the settings on the watch, tap "connections" tap "Wi-Fi" and make sure it is connected to your network. If it is not, look for your network in the list of available networks, tap to connect. If it asks you to configure it, go ahead and enter your network credentials and connect. If your network does not show up in your list, tap "scan" and see if it shows up. If it does not, tap "add network", configure and add it. Sometimes it's already configured, but if you have not connected to it on the watch manually at least once, it will not auto connect. Also, watches are not compatible with public wi-fi networks.

Galaxy WatchSometimes, since the wi-fi is on, but not actively connected until needed, it may take a minute for the watch to connect to the internet when you summon Gemini. You may have to repeat the request or manually tap the Gemini app. Have you tried wiping the watch's cache partition? It will not harm your apps or data.

Galaxy WatchThank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand the importance of having the new features work on your watch. Just to clarify, have you completed the following steps on your watch: open the Google app on your Galaxy Watch 8. If prompted, accept the new Gemini AI assistant setup screen?
