The battery performance is currently unsatisfactory. The battery life on the Watch 7 was notably superior. I am hopeful that a software update will address this issue. Furthermore, the revised tile layout is not preferred. I am now evaluating the overall value reason for upgrading from the watch 7 to the watch 8.

if "learning pattern" still appear on your Watch Device Care then wait until it disappear, it can take 2 days learning your usage pattern. However if "learning pattern" already disappeared then yes it has horrible battery then.

When did you get your watch?

Did you activate Gemini on your watch? It's a battery hog. I uninstalled it, and didn't reapply the update

I just got my watch today. It takes about 7-14 days for it to settle down, even when learning usage patterns doesn't show.

For the first few days to a week, the watch is learning your usage patterns and gets poor battery life. It will get better. I have watched a lot of tech reviews about the Watch 8 on YouTube and they all mention improvmrnt in the battery life over the Watch 7.

I am having the same issue. I will charge it to 100% and it will say about 2 days and 20 hours of life based on my usage. It will only go down 5-10% at the end of the day. It will last through the night and usually I wake up to it around 80-70%. If I do not charge it and go to bed with it at 60 or 50% battery, it dies around 3AM. I noticed that when its at or below 60% the battery life plumets fast. I just tried resetting it and will update after a week.

Which model do you have?  I am currently running the Bluetooth version and I get close to the stated time of 30 hours.  I suspect you have something running on the watch that is eating the battery and might require looking into the apps to see what can be turned off.  Open your Wear app and go into the Battery area and check your usage list.
