As most of you know the Google pixel 10 was released today with Android 16 With QPR 1 and I just wanted to let everyone know that as it is right now The Galaxy watch 8 Does NOT work with Pixel 10 and Android 16 at all.

I tried to speak with Official support chat today and that was 100% a complete waste of time. the support rep was just reading me Auto replies on how to pair devices with bluetooth.

I hope someone at Samsung will see this and please forward this to someone that can get the Dev's to take a look at what's going on

I really have not one iota of interest in what you think.  My last response was not to you, and I will "hang out" and answer anything that I choose to. I do not have to explain myself to you or get your permission to be anywhere.

The problem with you is that all you do is troll and stir up drama on this topic while offering absolutely no help to anyone. I guess we’ll all just have to start reporting you.

I suggest that anyone having an issue with their Pixel or Galaxy Watch should mute this guy or report him to the mods for trolling this support thread. You can also go back, read all of his smart replies, and decide for yourselves.

I can confirm ihat it is definitely a watch Ui8 problem. My Watch Ultra 2024 running Ui 8 would not connect to my Pixel 10ProXl. My watch 6 classic however connected seamlessly!

I agree, terrible attitude for some one who's supposed to be a brand ambassador. People are looking for help and all they're doing is antagonizing other users and providing zero support. If that's how samsung wants to treat customers I'm more than happy to cut my loses, return my watch and just go with google brand products from now on.

I had the Google pixel 8 pro when the new watch arrived. It worked fine for a couple of weeks then it started disconnecting from the phone constantly. I factory reset the watch and tried repairing it but it just wouldn't connect. I spent a day and half trying to get it sorted. I gave up as I had a pixel 10 pro XL on order. When the new phone arrived I've never been able to connect it. I assumed it was a faulty watch so I sent it back to Samsung to repair. They sent it back and said they didn't find a fault.

I've been backwards and forwards with Samsung support they ask the same questions over and over and over again. Until I found this thread and now realise it's not the watch that's the issue. It's the combination of the two. So I emailed Samsung support back with loads of links to the issue and they come back with the same questions. Please take a video of the issue blah blah blah.  Samsung support really are the worst I've ever had to deal with. They ask the same questions over and over. It's so frustrating. I will never ever buy a Samsung product again.

They still won't even acknowledge the links I've sent for various websites explaining the issue between the two devices and completely ignore my email and ask for a video of the issue even though I've sent a video twice.

Heads up everyone, the issue may have been fixed.  I have been using the watch in "dumb mode" for the past week and a half and every morning I turn on the WiFi on the watch so that I can check to see if there are any watch software updates.  Today when I turned on the WiFi I immediately received a prompt to "Disconnect and Reset" my watch in order to be able to pair with my phone.  Never seen that before so I pressed reset.

I completed the set up process without any issue.  Once I completed the set up I turned off the WiFi on my watch and restarted my phone and I am still connected without any issues.

I think you were just lucky. I (and others) have reset their watches numerous times to no avail. I'm running mine on wifi after pairing it to an old phone, and no updates (but this doesn't mean there's none, maybe I haven't got it yet)

This one was different.  I had previously tried resetting many times without any luck. I gave up on that until I saw something posted.  However today's "Disconnect and Reset" message was new, I had never received that before today.  I only received it when I turned the WiFi on my watch back on and reconnected back to my WiFi.  As soon as I was connected I received the message.  It was immediate.  Perhaps something is rolling out.  My watch is 100% back to normal.

What watch (Samsung) Apps did you have to install to get it working?

Just the typical ones, Samsung Wear, Watch Manager, Samsung Health, Smart Switch. To my knowledge, nothing was updated on my phone or watch. I just had my watch in dumb mode, turned on the WiFi and connected it to my WiFi.  That is when I got the message.
