As most of you know the Google pixel 10 was released today with Android 16 With QPR 1 and I just wanted to let everyone know that as it is right now The Galaxy watch 8 Does NOT work with Pixel 10 and Android 16 at all.

I tried to speak with Official support chat today and that was 100% a complete waste of time. the support rep was just reading me Auto replies on how to pair devices with bluetooth.

I hope someone at Samsung will see this and please forward this to someone that can get the Dev's to take a look at what's going on

Thank you all for your patience. We have identified that this issue may occur after a software update on the Google Pixel phone. Google is currently working on a fix, so please ensure your Google Pixel phone is updated to the latest software. For further assistance, please contact the manufacturer of Google Pixel phone.

My ultra watch has the same problem with my Pixel 10 XL pro. Drained from 100% to 8% in the span of 4 hours. I didn't even notice it wasn't connected with bluetooth (it was doing everything over cellular). I've reset it and uninstalled and reinstalled the apps and no luck. My watch no longer functions. Glad Samsung was prepared! About ready to jump to a Pixel Watch 4...

Same thing for my galaxy watch 8 classic and pixel 10 pro. I transferred directly from 9 pro to 10 pro. But saw battery drained in half a day. Any idea about a possible solution?

I have had the exact same experience as you, with the exact same devices.

I can add that my my Galaxy Buds3 Pro do not work with the Pixel 10 Pro either.  They pair with the phone but do not stay connected.

Other Bluetooth devices (Sony headphones) work just fine with the Pixel 10 Pro.

I suspect the Galaxy Wearable App needs an update to become compatible with the Pixel 10 / Pro

Same for me. Wasted 3 hours uninstalled reinstalled... Now if there is a fix I will likely have to redo setup completely as it seems the backup on the watch never uploaded anywhere I can get to it. It would be nice if they could at least send an email blast letting people know there will be a fix coming and no need to reset the watch.... Hopefully a fix is coming!

Same here. Galaxy Watch8 Classic and Pixel 10 Pro XL. It seemed to transfer fine from my old phone (Pixel 9 Pro) but after a couple of hours the Galaxy Wearable app showed it as disconnected. I rebooted the watch and phone and it was able to connect again to the app but only remotely over wifi even though the phone bluetooth showed it as connected. I reset the watch to factory defaults and now it won't complete setup at all. I uninstalled all galaxy wearable components, fresh installed, and it still won't finish setup. It either A) finds the watch but immediately complains about an invalid code/passkey or B) it finds and lets me connect to the watch but at around 80% it kicks me back to the wearable device list and the watch says setup failed.

Same for me. Pixel 10 Pro XL arrived yesterday, managed to trasnfer my Watch8 Classic over with (relatively) little fuss, and by this morning it was saying that it was connected over wifi (phone showed it was connected via BT just fine). Tried connecting multiple times to no avail. Reset the watch, still getting fail messages. Now it won't connect at all. Not sure if this is a Google or Samsung fault to fix, but either way there's going to be many people left with an expensive toy watch unless they send it back...

The same exact thing happened to me. Got the new Pixel 10 pro, and the transfer seemed to go over just fine. Then yesterday notied the watch was connected via wifi. And the battery drain was insane. I reset the watch, and now it won't connect at all. Not sure if this is an issue on the Google side or Samsung. I hope there's a fix soon.

Sound like it's more a problem with the Pixel than the watch. While Samsung watches will generally work with other brands of phones, they are made for compatibility with Samsung devices. You should be contacting Google.
