Galaxy Watch
Hello folks,
I have a Galaxy Watch 7 (SM-L305U) running the latest update at this time (Aug 1, 2025 security patch, etc.), and I'm seeing an issue with incoming Google Voice calls showing up as 'media' and not triggering a notification. Internet searches for similar show that this was previously an issue with at least one GW 4.
When a regular (carrier) call comes in, the watch notifies for a regular incoming call. When I receive a call in Google Voice, my phone rings, and the watch shows a 'media' icon on the bottom of the face (and does not alert). If you click the media icon it shows the media player, with Google Voice as the audio source. Google Voice texts are received normally, and alerts occur on the watch accordingly.
I tried the suggestion of reinstalling Google Voice, and deleting and re-pairing the BT connection for the watch, but nothing has changed.
Is there a solution for this / has anyone else experienced this issue?
