Galaxy WatchWallpaper on watches? Do you mean the watch face? Watches have much smaller batteries than phones, so the longer your screen stays on and the brighter you keep the display, the more battery it will use.

Galaxy WatchYou can change the screen time out on the watch to up to one minute. Why would you need longer than that? If you are looking at the time, you only need a few seconds. If you are actively using the watch (typing a text, reading a notification, have an active workout, etc.), the screen stays on as long as it's in use. Two minutes is an awfully long time for a screen to stay on with no input. Letting it stay on for 2 minutes at a time many times a day is a sure way to deplete your battery faster. You may keep your *phone* screen on for two minutes with minimal detriment, because the phone battery has much more capacity.
