As title says, my fit3 is counting steps whenever im doing jumping rope workouts, and honestly whenever im doing any workout, is there any way to stop it? it even estimates a distance walked which is stupid since im jumping on the same place. I've checked on the health app and it says it wont count steps when in a workout, but it still does, and even shows calories burned on the steps tile, which i dont know how they add to the calories burned during the day (are they apart or are they counted as part of the workout done?)

I hope this has a fix because it's really annoying, specially on what's supposed to be a fitness tracker

Steps are counted by arm movement, so when your arms are swinging while manipulating the rope, steps will be counted. Technically, you are stepping anyway, since your legs are moving as well whether you are jumping or skipping. I don't know why it bothers you that your steps are being counted when you exercise, it just proves you are alive and moving. To answer your question, though, there does not appear to be a way to stop steps from being counted. If you go to the health app and tap the step tile, go to the menu and select "about steps", it will even tell you that other activities may contribute to your step count.
