Galaxy S25

Ive been using sideline for years for my business number on my cell phone. The other day, I bought a galaxy s25 plus, and a second sim with a second line, so I can get rid of sideline.

Now, I didnt realize everything was gonna be jumbled together, and and before I didthc teh second line and go back to sideline, I need to exhaust all options.

What I absolutely need is a separate button for calls and texs for each line. The way it is now, all texts go to the same place, and Id have to remember to change which number Im texting from. Same with calls. I cant even set up a second voicemail with this setup. Ive tried dual messenger, but its doesnt support any texting or calling app. Ive tried app cloning, but I cant get that to work either.

How can just very simply have separate text and call apps? I cant wrap my head around how I even have to ask about this.

That should have been checked that was going to be the function regardless of the device brand. The fact that you used Sideline to achieve that shows that if the specific functions you need from two SIMs can work through Sideline, then use that again. I could be wrong, but I have never heard of anything recently that would allow separate functions of SIMs in the situations you want them each to perform and display.

In the end, Sideline was (is) needed for the older device and Sideline is needed for the S25plus.

Sorry, but thats a steaming load. Theres ZERO reason to not have TWO SEPARATE LINES. Thats the entire point of having TWO SIMS, and paying for TWO LINES. All Im getting now is ONE line with two numbers. And yes, I WAS told it would work like I wanted. I brought it back to tmobile to see if there was a solution, but my rep said hes almost positive there is a way, but hes not as familiar with samsungs' as others in his store, so I should come back when one of them are working.

Sideline works, but its iffy. caller ID just says "incoming sideline call" the voicemail works half the time. sometimes it doesnt ring. Maybe my new phone will work better. My last one was at least 5 years old, but its still works just fine, expect with Android Auto...

I would rather pay more money to have two distinct lines. Like I said, theres ZERO reason, I shouldnt have a text/call button attached to each line. ZERO. And I know **bleep** well Im not the only one who wants this.

You could try using 2 separate messaging apps and selecting the default sim to use in each app, and you could long press the call button and it would popup a sim selection for that outgoing call, at least in oneui7 on an s22, and oneui8 on an s24u
