Increasing the number of apps I can have in my "Favorites Bar"

I only have 3 apps showing on my favorites bar on my home page.  My previous phone had 4 or 5.  I have tried everything.  Good Lock and Home Up doesn't let me increase the number.  The option isn't available.  I have tried everything.  The Samsung guy and ATT guys at Best Buy couldn't do it either.  Help!

Do you have Easy Mode turned on?

Settings > Display > Easy mode

Easy Mode limits the grid to 3×4

Ack. Forgot about easy mode. (That's not what I call it, but it will do).
