When I was using Samsung app for taking and saving pictures, no problem at looking at years of photos. Now with ny new S25+, ALL of my pictures ARE NOT THERE, in fact only several months. Is there a way to retrieve them?

Try the steps here to restore the photos: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10002780/ Please note: Samsung Cloud does NOT backup photos. Those would have to be backed up to OneDrive, Google, or external storage.
I have the same problem. Backed it up on One Drive, Google Photos. However, just like Gallery 80% of photos are gone from years ago. Checked my Z Flip 3-5G, found some still exists but others which automatically backed up too Google photos are unfortunately gone.
