Trying to use the AOD on my s25U vs but can't read/preview texts?

I'm trying to see how useful the AOD would be for my needs and I do get an icon for any new messages with Samsung Messenger, but no matter what iv'e tried, I cannot see a read preview of the message on the AOD below the clock as it would be nice to be able to take a quick glance to see who's texting me and if I need to read it further or not.

Is this possible?

I don't get it. If you people want your notifications to show all content on your lock screens and AOD, why bother locking your phones at all. Most people prefer for their communications to remain private. If you don't want to unlock your phone to read your notifications, get a watch, then all you have to do is look at the notification on your watch.
