As I am typing this, midday 9/21/25, I noticed yesterday that the steps section of the health and wellness app widget is not picking up step counts even though my watch is connected.

Is anyone else noticing this glitch?

If I open the health app my steps are visible in there but not picking up in the widget summary.

Device Galaxy S25Ultra + watch Samsung Ultra2 ...All updates installed...

Any ideas, recomendations or already working solutions are appreciated.

If there is a disconnect in information between the health app and the widget, you should put in an error report.

I always turn everything off for a bit. Not restarting but completely off. Did you try that?

@SpectrumShine Submit a bug report via Samsung Members app -> Support -> Send feedback.

I am seeing the same thing on my Fold 7 but it is working correctly on my S25 Ultra.

Done and โœ”๏ธ thank you. Yes this is a pretty big widespread attack in the android widgets, I'm seeing it all over members forum in various ways. Y'all stay safe.

1. Confirm widget settings & make sure it's the right one
Make sure the specific widget (Daily Activity / Steps widget) is the one thatโ€™s supposed to pull step count. Sometimes Samsung Health has multiple widgets/tiles, and the one used might not be the one that updates live.

2. Permissions ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Samsung Health must have all relevant permissions, especially Sensors / Motion / Physical Activity and Background / โ€œalways allowโ€ type permissions.

Also check โ€œSyncโ€ permissions with the watch (sometimes thereโ€™s a setting โ€œsync phone app & watch app continuously / as often as possibleโ€)

โœ”๏ธ โœ”๏ธ โœ”๏ธ ๐Ÿ‘ yes thank you. This is a pretty big bug. Y'all stay safe.

Also I had the intuitive message come through about a week ago, "Get rid of the shopping bug"

I couldn't figure out what it was related to. I think that download and this tech bug have to do with the things I'm typing in response to things surrounding this within the things I'm seeing and reading others dealing with in the members community.

I had the same issue. Last night I was told to clear the cache in health. Then I restarted my phone. I can see my step count again but lost my level progress, challenges and global badges. Im a newbie again.๐Ÿ™„
