I just traded my Pixel 7 Pro for a Galaxy S25 Ultra and I find there are some things I am unable to do or don't know how to do. The two things I would like to do at this time is change the sound for the messaging app and only the messaging app. I was able to do that on the Pixel but it seems only the global alert sounds can be changed.

The other thing I would like to do is use a picture from my photos as a background (or wallpaper) when the phone is active. I was able to set the wallpaper on the lock screen but can't figure out if there is a way to set it for the main screen.

For the Wallpaper on your home screen pinch in with 2 fingers and then select wallpaper and style then select the right screen that is your home screen then select wallpapers on the top left.

Got the first setting, thanks, but can't seem to find the second one for the specific app. I opened the app but it just takes me to the general notifications. If I open it in setings->apps->messages it gets me to the same place. How do I get to the messages notifications screen?

Go to notifications, advanced settings, manage notification categories.1739241410887.jpg1739241410898.jpg

Thank you, I have turned that feature on but can not figure out how to actually configure the messages app. I can not find the second screen that Tidbitty posted for the messages app.

Go to apps, type in the search box Messages, tap on notifications, notification, categories, select a category you want to change the sound to.

Just one more thing, if you have have a 2 question for someone who is helping you, tap the reply button so that the person you are replying to get a notification.1739242915223.jpg1739242915234.jpg1739242915248.jpg
