Since One UI 8 memory decrease and making battery drain

Every since the update, my memory went from 4.8gb-7gb usage (highest to lowest usage)to 1.2gb-4gb usage constant. The battery dies way too fast because of it. I even put some apps to sleep but no difference. They really need to fix ram issue. It's insane, no update had ever had this problem in any of my s series.

Exact same issue here.   I never had memory use like this before the update.  No matter how much I clear it, it drains immediately.  And i have very few background apps running.  I also go from 6gb to 3gb.  Definitely on Samsung’s side.

So i just got the October security update and seems to fix the ram issue. It's back to 5 to 6 gig range, proving my point that it was the one ui 8 update that caused the issue.

Could you please explain further why you believe Ram memory usage has a direct impact on battery life? I'm no Tech junkie, but I would be very surprised to find out there is a significant direct and disastrous correlation between Ram memory usage and battery life.

It means there are background processes, which are usually the apps, therefore they all drain battery.

Actually.. I'm noticing this too.. Previously, my phone easily, it would have 4--5gbs free after running clean up.. Now it's 3gb all the time. And I've removed a lot of apps. But most importantly, my battery drains fast! Since Beta 5 on S25 Ultra. I even did a clean install.

Yeah mine is pretty much stuck around 3gb now, even apps I never opened are running in the background

My battery is also very bad now 😔. I returned the Fold7 because the battery would hit 35% after 4hrs of use for me at work. I use my phone a lot of during the day.. And the slow charge speed on the Fold didn't help either. Putting the phone on energy save messes up with some apps for me.. Like android auto. So that's not an option for me.

Folds suck. Will never use it again. Waste of battery and the main screen unpixalates fairly quick if you use the main screen a lot

5Go ram usage idle, battery 2 days

6-6.5Go ram usage idle, battery 1 day (**bleep**) this update ruined my battery autonomy, i was so mad, my phone was new

8Go ram usage idle, battery less than 1 day (**bleep** again)

i wont updade to UI 9 lol
