Hello. I'm new to Android. I'm less than 1 month in. On iPhone this was easy peasy what I want to do. One my S25+ I cant figure it out. I want to set an mp3 of mine as the text notification tone for one of my contacts. I know how to set unique text tone for specific contacts, but those are all system ones. I want to use one not in the list but one I downloaded to my phone. Is there a way to do this?

Yea, but I don't think it be set to a specific contact. It can how use a specific notification sound if it is placed in the correct folder in the device. Browse to where the mp3 is and then move it to the notifications folder in the main directory.

Thank you! I moved the mp3 to the notifications folder and then I was able to select it as a text tone for the contact.

I also found this, so I could be wrong here. While what I stated is true, I did say that a sound cannot be used for a specific contact in text. So, I clicked on a contact, then the 3 vertical dots on the top right. Then I clicked on details, and there is a notification section that can be opened and a sound can be chosen.

That's what I did. The mp3 appeared after moving to the notifications folder and I could select for a specific contact. Thanks again!
