Galaxy S25

I recently upgraded phones to the Galaxy s25 Ultra and now can't access Bluetooth lockboxes. Sentrilock support says it's a phone issue and I would need to wait for an update from Samsung.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue or have a fix?

Pushing ENTER on the box starts the connection process, but never leads to the box opening. It recognizes the lockbox yet does not release the shackle.

If Sentrilock does not work with the S25, that is a Sentrilock issue, not a Samsung one.  If their boxes are using an older BT standard, it's on them to bring their boxes into compliance.  (Although, normally any new standard is backward compatible - depending on which old standard a device is using). Samsung's S25 will not be the only phone going forward using this standard.  If Sentrilock doesn't upgrade, anyone with a new phone from this point forward will not be able to unlock the box.

I also have the same issue. I spoke with Sentrilock and the stated it is an S25 series issue. I have S25 Ultra. I was told it's the phone because the Bluetooth times out too quickly. Getting an access code was the ONLY suggestion the have for getting access. That includes your own boxes. My brokerage doesn't allow giving out access codes so my fingers are crossed that other agents/brokerages will be cooperative when I need one. Does anyone have a contact to Samsung to give them my complaint?

I don't believe the BT on the S25 times out any faster than on any other model.  There would be no point in that.  BT is meant to time out relatively quickly for security so that no one else attaches themselves to your phone, but it's a standard time out period.  It may, in fact, be an issue with the S25, but it's very easy for Sentrilock to point the finger at Samsung, when they are the ones who need to adapt their software if they know there's an issue. Sentrilock may have a slow to pair thing going on.  Are all the realtors who are having this problem recent owners of the S25?  Try pairing a new BT device (or unpairing and re-pairing one you already have) and see if the pairing timeout is too fast.

Same issue happening to me here on my first day out with my new phone. So we're months into this problem and no fix from either side, huh?

As of about 2 or 3 weeks ago mine started working. I haven't changed anything. SentriLock app is up to date. At one time I did uninstall and reinstall, clear cache, force stop etc. None of that did anything. One day it just started working.

Thank you. I'm glad you said that because uninstalling and reinstalling the sentrilock app seems to have cured it. For now. Got a few more days to test it during my return period. Never imagined this would be an issue on a flagship phone.

I don't know why people automatically assume the phone is at fault, when this was clearly a software issue due to Sentrilock not updating their app.
