Clear your system cache.

Power down the device.

Press and hold both the up volume and power (side) buttons at the same time until you get the Samsung screen.

Release the buttons when Samsung screen disappears, then you will get the recovery screen.

Using the volume buttons, move the highlight up/down to "Wipe cache partition", then click the power button.

Use the volume button to choose "Yes", click the power button,

Highlight will be over "Reboot system now"  just click the power button again to restart device as normal.

See how that works.

Open the device care app, click on the battery section, then see which apps are running. One or two may be running whether in use or not. You can individually restrict them from running after they are no longer being used at the time. Also, I recommend downloading Good Guardians app form the Galaxy Store, then installing the Battery Guardian and use it settings. e,g, Toggling on the "App power saving" function will auto-place an app into sleep mode that is a battery hog.

As with any other update, the adaptive battery needs to relearn your usage.  I imagine some of the new features expend a little more battery power, but it should not be significant. As @Tom6068 suggested, take a look at your battery usage and see which apps are using the most and why (background or screen on), then check their optimization settings to either restrict or optimized.

I been noticing lately that the battery on my S25 Ultra drain quickly. I try to close all most of the apps I don't use. Im on wifi when im at work or home. Don't play games. So what would be the problem.

Hello,

I'm having issues with the battery life on my new Galaxy S25+, which I just bought 5 days ago. I'm getting very low screen-on time, sometimes only 3-4 hours, and the battery drains very quickly in the background even when the phone is idle. This is disappointing because online reviews from places like Tom's Guide, GSMArena, and YouTube all show this phone having great battery life.

I'm trying to figure out the cause. When I set up my phone, I used Smart Switch to transfer everything from an old OnePlus 8T. I am also using many features from the Good Lock app, but I am not using the Always On Display (AOD). Additionally, I have my Amazfit Zepp watch connected and use Google Health Connect with Samsung Health.

Could using Smart Switch from a non-Samsung phone, or my health app connections, be the main reason for this high background drain and low screen-on time?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

@nazmulhasan If you have only had the phone for 5 days, it is still learning your usage patterns. Battery performance will increase as the device learns your usage patterns. Also, when the phone is new there is a lot of configuration and initializations that need to occur.

It's a new phone, it's still getting set up and learning your battery usage patterns.  You used Smart Switch to transfer your stuff over, which would/should have no effect on battery drain.  However, all the apps you transferred over may now be looking to update in order to be compatible with your new phone.  Wait another week and see if you are still having the same issues.  In the meantime check, not only the apps using screen time, but what is running in the background.  Check the battery stats to see which are the top 3 or 4 apps using the battery and see if they are able to be optimized or put to sleep.  The screen on the S25 is amazingly bright, so you likely do not have to keep the brightness level at maximum, try lowering it to 75% or to the lowest level where you can still see it clearly without it looking too dim.  Now that your battery is a week old, it's time to clear the phone's cache partition to get rid of all the flotsam of any app/system update temp files.
