Samsung needs to update Samsung Messages

Why samsung doesn't update the samsung messages app it's really bad to use nothing so serious on it I gotta use Google messages

They'll also go out and buy a phone from another manufacturer only to find Google Messages is their default option anyway, as it is on every Android based phone now.  Even Verizon gave up their own app when RCS emerged (my sister loved that app).  Unless they go out and get the fruit phone and then gag at the sight of iMessages.

It's the stupid themes keeping me from doing it. I LOVE my themes. They're not compatible with Google messages so it ruins my phone's look:(

Then continue to use your preferred messenger, just be aware that will be a choice of form over function. No one is forcing you, but if you want RCS, you're going to have to switch to the universal standard.

They are not in competition with anyone for a messaging app, that's why they are sundowning it.  Not only are they not updating it, it's starting to lose features.

I prefer textra to all other messaging apps. It's the most customizable hands down. Having said that, as beautiful as textra is it doesn't support rcs and likely never will. I use Google message for that reason.

I used and really enjoyed Textra back in the day. But no RCS is a no-go.

Google messages, as much as I fought not to even try it is far better. Just the fact I can swipe to delete or archive makes me not even want to use Samsung messages. I don't know why people get bent out shape. Unless you're literally living in and staring at your message screens 24/7 why does it matter about "I can't put wallpaper or change bubble colors" matter? I'm going out on a limb that's your issue.
