Samsung has emphasized that users don't always utilize the S Pen's Bluetooth connectivity, which I believe is completely absurd. Additionally, I would argue that Bixby is one of the worst inventions; I canāt imagine more than 0.1% of users using it. So why doesn't Samsung remove it?
I would venture to guess they are way more people who use Bixby more than the bluetooth on the Spen. Modes and Routines runs through Bixby, device stuff runs through Bixby.

The rub is that Bixby knows how to talk to hardware of the phone which Gemini doesn't do natively so they would have to redevelop the functionality of Bixby to remove Bixby or just pipe it into Bixby and have it available now.
Just bought the new Samsung S25+. I did have the Samsung a123 an older phone and used it with my hearing aids it worked but it took a while for the Bluetooth to connect. I was told the s series have something called LE which makes streaming more efficient. I spent $1,000 on a phone that doesn't work with my hearing aids at all it will not connect to Bluetooth devices! I spent at least an hour hour and a half talking to the hearing aid people and then I spoke with the Samsung technicians for at least another hour and a half and they still don't work! I should have bought an older phone I can't believe their brand new phone already has a glitches in it. The LE button will not stay on no matter what I do. I have tried it with another pair of hearing aids and they won't pair either! I should have went with an iPhone!
I believe Samsung removed it so they can add Qi2 magnets to the back of the phone next year. My guess is that they went ahead and took the backlash now instead of in the future.
What's funny is you don't really need the magnets. Most people use a case anyway and there are cases with that functionality. I much prefer the usefulness of power share which I use a lot. And Bluetooth spen. Samsung is trying to please people who want galaxy to be like iPhone, makes no sense to me. I like the way the S25U looks but the reality is my S22U is much more comfortable to hold. Samsung needs to be careful to not make useless iphones.
