I recently bought the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE and after switching out the sim from my old phone to the S25 FE it says my phone is incompatible with the carrier, I bought the phone unlocked. When I went to my carriers physical store they said the IMEI was incompatible, (my carrier is Cricket (AT&T), and they are saying it needs to be unlocked, so I'm wondering why they are saying that or what is happening? Is it that they haven't received the data from Samsung or is my phone somehow locked while being unlocked?

It is possible the SIM is not recognized. How old is the SIM card and from what older device?

The sim card isn't relatively new and I believe it's around 8 years as well, however when I went to a physical store and they tried to use eSim they said it was not compatible with them

Well, return the device if it's still within the return window. Call Samsung, describe the issue. They will likely have you bring it to their authorized repair center, to check if the IMEI is faulty for some reason. If it turns out ok, go from there if it cannot be returned for passing that window or another reason, it seems you will have to have the device provisioned to that number from another MVNO. Tell cricket that you are moving on as it's going to cost money anyway. If another MVNO shows it eligible, then cricket is either attempting to make money that it should not, or the cricket workers do not fully understand their position other than performing phone service connecting by rote.

I do want to say that it likely is just Cricket or AT&T as I was able to connect it to Spectrum Mobiles network using eSim
