So as you guys can see chat features are enabled but my messages are NOT getting sent as RCS. They are sent as regular SMS/MMS. I'm on AT&T which supports RCS. Google Messages supports RCS as well and it works fine and Messages get sent as RCS. I just prefer samsung messages. I've already done the clear data and cache on samsung messages and carrier services while on airplane mode but that did not work. I also did a reset on mobile networks and that didnt work. Anything else I should try?

Most carriers, including AT&T, are transitioning to Google's version of RCS because it runs through Google's servers, tends to be more compatible with iOS, and doesn't require the carrier to build and maintain their own RCS infrastructure.

Unfortunately, you will likely need to transition to google messages to retain RCS Chat features going forward.

I can't understand why people insist on using Samsung messenger. Google message works so much better.

They prefer pretty over functional. Themes and habit are the only explanations.

Because samsung messages is way better, I can customize my bubbles and font color how I need it to be so I can read my messages but with Google messages I can't do that so therefore I can't see the messages at all

But Google's color choices are really dull!
