Galaxy S25Hello,
I have been trying to find why my Samsung S25 Ultra won't save photos to the Gallery app. I use all the native S25 camera apps and have checked the file folders and other areas and can't find anything. However, it is saving new images to my Amazon Photos and Google Photos directly. I have not set up anything that I can find that created this manually. It just seems to save them to both by default, since I have active accounts with both.

Galaxy S25If you are speaking of "My Files" folder, there is nothing it it related to images. It has two folders, one with color called "This Week", and the other grayed out called "This Week". Neither have any images of any type.
I am aware of the DCIM when I check while connected to my PC. I cannot see photos or videos taken on the phone itself. I would have to view any activity with either Google or Amazon photos.

Galaxy S25It does. However with the three folders that come up, nothing is in them. I do have current images in Google and Amazon Photos, but nothing elsewhere. If I want to check photos as a review or to export them, I need a simple "Gallery" app which is where the photos are supposed to be saved with this device. There are none of my images and/or video anyplace on this phone.

Galaxy S25I suddenly have the same issue. It appears that Google photos is the default and the option to save directly to Gallery has disappeared 😕 If I screenshot the photo then it goes in gallery. So dumb. Google messages should play nicer with Samsung...

Galaxy S25@Samsung_Lh9w8cC There is nothing in the standard Samsung setup which would cause this. It could be caused by some 3rd party app which you have installed. This may be directing photos to another directory.
Gallery just looks for photos on your device. There is no saving photos to Gallery specifically.
Try booting into safe mode and taking a photo. If everything works great while booted in safe mode, then you have confirmed that a 3rd party app is causing the issue.
