S25 youtube quality stuck at 720p

I have my phone youtube quality set to higher picture quality. It's always 720p, this only happens on my S25. On my labtop and tv, youtube goes to 2160p. How do I fix this?

My s25 Ultra is getting 4K 60fps videos on YouTube perfectly fine... I'm on the latest U.I 7.0 update, I'm using my 5G connection on Verizon my s25 Ultra is unlocked as well... 🤔

Your Labtop (laptop) is likely directly connected via an ethernet cable.  this gives you a higher throughput than the wi-fi signal or cellular signal provided to the smartphone.  YouTube videos auto-detect and play at a resolution that is compatible with your device.  If there is not enough bandwidth for higher than 720p, then you wont get that.  Also, not all videos are recorded at these higher resolutions, some are recorded or uploaded at 720p so that is what they max out as.  I understand you may already know this, just throwing it out there in case you, or others were not aware.

No what quality does youtube usually play for you?

I am having the same issue. My galaxy s10 was playing tiktok videos super sharp and now my s25 looks like it's playing them in 720p
