When I had the s23ultra I used to be able to carry around a external screen and plug it in usbc to usbc and it would work with dex. The s25 ultra is forcing me to plug it into the wall also. Why does this not work like the s23 and why am i being forced to plug into the wall? This takes away from the convenience of its mobility.
What are you plugging into the wall? Does DeX now require AC power input to run? What notification are you getting to plug it into the wall, and what is your battery level when you start?
I have a wireless 15 inch screen i bought that runs just fine without having to be plugged into power as well with the s23ultra. So it's s23ultra-->usbc --> 15 inch screen.
Now with the s25 ultra I have to s25u-->usbc-->15inchscreen-->second usbc from screen to outlet.
That's really strange, that an output device can force the input device to run on wall power or the output device won't... output. Can you use a power bank for the external screen and it work?
@userUP0984kYp3 It sounds like a change to S25 Ultra's support for powering external devices. I'll bet it applies to more than just Dex. Probably a safeguard to ensure that the S25 isn't damaged by heavy current draw.
