10,000 out of maybe the 14m that will get sold will prove Samsung's point, that not enough people use it to keep a niche feature. I occasionally used it to take photos, I used it more as a parlor trick to say, "Can your phone do this.
The 2 easiest ways to use shutter control are a hand gesture or voice, or if you have a watch or ring. There are also 3rd party shutter buttons that give you this ability!
As long as samsung continues to prioritize their profit margin, niche user features will continued to be culled. At best, they'll bring it back as an optional upsell.
I actually wish the S-pen was an option to be honest. I do not use it as I do not write it nor navigate with it, Bluetooth or not.
I think the space used for the pen storage area could be better used for improved hardware, like larger camera sensors, or a larger battery pack (like the Oneplus having a 6k-mAh battery), etc.
Ah yes. Change.org, the place complaints go to die. Akin to writing your complaint on paper, lighting it on fire and then pretending you made a difference.
You realize even 10,000 signatures represents 0.06% of total S24U sales? To even reach a measly 1% you would need nearly 160,000 signatures.
Now, if you really wanted to make change, instead of buying a phone lacking something you wanted, buy the model that does. Vote with your wallet, it's the only thing shareholders listen to. But if the S25U sells roughly the same volume as the S24U, the few thousand people who dislike the change enough to not buy one, likely would make an insignificant difference regardless, but at least you would have a perfectly good phone with the feature you wanted.
Now this is speculation, but considering the S25U has the charging circuit for the Bluetooth S-pen in the phone still, it's likely they might bring out a bt model later to sell at an additional cost, otherwise that circuit would have been removed.
It's amazing to me that the people pushing for this action do not understand the scale of the mountain they are trying to climb and how fruitless of an endeavor it actually is. One man's opinion. Samsung will not bring the S Pen back unless it finds a way to monetize it.
