S Pen isn't controlling S25 ultra camera

How do I make my S Pen to control my camera on my S25 Ultra?

This rumor isnt as scary as it seems. Imo, its actually potentially very good news. Samsung is rumored to be experimenting with switching to stylus tech similar to the apple pencil, which combines the digitizer layer with the capacitive touch layer. The stylus would now become active, maintaining a Bluetooth link to the phone to send instructions on how to interpret the pens movements as opposed to the current solution, where the screen detects where the pen is based on magnetic interference.

The upside is that it would be thinner, it would no longer interact with magnets, allowing samsung to FINALLY introduce magnetic charging to their phones without compromise, and potentially this could lead to more phones having s-pen support as the cost is now shifted off of the digitizing layer and onto the stylus itself. The downside is it would be more expensive and the pen would need to be charged every so often or it won't work at all, whereas the current Bluetooth S-pens will write with or without a charge. However, this comes with a potential upside: Bluetooth features will probably return, as the s-pen will require a Bluetooth connection and a battery to have any functionality. There would be literally zero justification for not restoring camera controls to these new hypothetical s-pens.

Like the S21 Ultra having a separate pen. I get people like certain features or even just one, but in the end, the S-pen storage silo is a total waste of space (this is my opinion) and Samsung has for too long now, not used that space for better hardware for cameras and larger batteries. The camera is to the point where they are no longer providing sizeable camera software updates and I am thinking that maybe this is the best they can offer as the hardware has barely gotten better since the S20 Ultra. And the majority of Ultra buyer do not care about the pen today, they buy them mostly for their cameras.

With the advancement  and optimization of touch and voice feature, along with the fact that for the vast majority of people, the S-pen was more of a novelty that wore out aside from many issues from S-Pen failures. The device is noticeably thicker because of the S-pen chamber too. Also, the tablet has becoem a far better device for stylus usage since they are far more accurate, are more useful for designing and creating content.

I couldn't care less what happens to the S Pen. Samsung's gonna do whatever they're gonna do. I was only providing input to the OP about missing functionality, which was their initial comment.

The s pen is the entire point in getting the ultra the camera is basically the same in the other device's of that year's line of phone's and I lost the pen for my tablet because it didn't have a secure spot like the phone's pen

It's the very reason why I cancelled my preorder and kept the S24 Ultra. The Darling Bride and I both have dexterity issues and rely heavily on the S Pen. If Samsung ever makes the grave mistake of eliminating the S Pen, we will no longer have reason to remain in the Samsung ecosystem and can get a better phone for far less money.

I too was very disappointed in not having the capability to take pics with the s pen. I would have bought the 24 Ultra if I had realized this fact in time. I have many Samsung devices but at this time when I get a new phone: it probably will not be a Samsung.

Very dissapointing when products come with "reduced" features.

I'm sad when Samsung take out the important Bluetooth function from Spen, I use it on my presentation and photo shooting.
I don't think you need to buy Ultra if the provide Spen without Bluetooth, also Samsung must consider to bring back the Bluetooth Spen for s25 ultra, please update the system and allow user to connect another Bluetooth Spen on s25 ultra and fix this problem.
It is totally a step back if we can't use Bluetooth spen to control the ultra phone, no point to buy it at all!!! Customer can choose cheaper version like S25 or S25 plus when Spen is the Main selling point on ultra.
