Recently received "Unlocked phone" notification?

Why did my phone just do this did anybody else?

It was just a notification saying this , I didn't press anything for my phone to unlock , did anyone else phone say this

Did you recently finish paying it off? It's a message that your phone was previously locked to a network (whoever your carrier is), but now it's unlocked and you can switch carriers if you want to.

No I just paid in full when I brought it in may & oh ok thank you

Most carriers require your phone to be on their service for 90 days prior to unlocking, even if paid in full at purchase.  They want you for a full quarter.

Carriers usually unlock your device if you had it on their plan for a certain amount of days automatically, or if you paid it off.

Guessing verizon anyway after a set days of active service the phone will be able to be unlocked

If you have straight talk, it's the same as Verizon, they own it
