I have a durable phone case for my phone, but nothing is going to prevent the glass on the BACK of the phone from fracturing or shattering. Whomever thought this was a good design needs to return to the drawing table. My husband has rhe black version and does NOT have the same issue. I have the white version.

Did you drop the phone?  Case or not, dropping the phone from even waist height can shatter the glass if it hits just the right spot on a hard surface.  Even "unbreakable" glass breaks under those conditions.  The color of the phone has nothing to do with weakness in the glass.  Did your husband drop his phone?  Perhaps the protectiveness of your protective case is not up to par.

There isn't any good and durable samsung phones. But I have a silicone case and so far it's been good to me.

The color does not matter, as the black phone would experience the same cracking under whatever caused the cracking on the white model, and it will be seen too. No matter the protective cases one uses, they cannot defy physics. If you have Samsung Care+ it should cover the back glass being replaced.

Pretty sure phones have been glass-backed for years now, it's part of the wireless charging requirements. Can't have a metal back to interfere with the field.

Ive always used Otterbox Defender but like others have said there's no surefire case and no bulletproof phone.
