Would the air vent be damaged? Is the structure similar to microphone? I heard that microphone structure by design prevents ejectors doing damage, is it the same for air vent?

Air vent hole as specified in the user guide, the right hole on the top

I can see where and how this could happen! That was a poor design choice, putting these holes next to each other

@Jamess467 Not sure I follow. You really shouldn't be sticking anything into either one of those holes. The SIM card is on the other end of the phone.

How can you see this happening?
The SIM tray is in the bottom of the phone, not the top.
They flipped the orientation of the SIM tray so as not to accidentally putting the tool in the microphone. Even if you do, it will not harm the microphone.

Not sure how this is a "poor design choice"  These holes need to be somewhere, and most people would not see two holes together with no clear door cutout as something to randomly start jamming their sim eject tool into.  Try reading the manual BEFORE attempting to start jamming sim eject tools into the device.

To me, if I thought that one of these two holes right next to each other were the sim tray, then I would look into it so as to not jam the tool into the wrong place.

Were you not paying attention to the orientation of your device and put the SIM ejector tool at the top of your device?
