After one ui 8 my car will no longer hold a connection via Bluetooth. (2010 Mazda 3) I've had this car for 15 years, never had a connection issue until now. My phone works with my work vehicle and my friends iPhone 13 has no issues with my Mazda. I can't figure out the conflict! I've tried removing the device and starting fresh, but nope. The weird part is my phone connection will connect, stay connected, but the audio toggle for music won't stay connected and takes multiple times to connect. If it does connect, after i turn off my car, it won't reconnect like before one ui 8. It always connected the 1st time and always connected if i turned my car off and on again. Sorry for the rant, but it's driving me crazy.

Yeah it's beyond annoying because I use Bluetooth in my car all the time and using the auxiliary input what they dongle is a quick fix but I get tired of unplugging that wire every time I get in and out of my car.

Let's hope that reporting it enough times will get Samsung and Google to work out a fix. Unfortunately my car doesn't even have a aux input so it's been a pain

Hopefully I did post this on Reddit under the one UI 8 sub too. Trying to get people to just keep submitting feedback about it.

They do make a Bluetooth transmitter but I don't want to go spending 30 and $40 on something that should be fixed with Samsung.

I am on the same boat. But its not just S24 or S25. My wife's Flip phone has this issue too in my car.

If this doesn't get fix soon I might switch to an iPhone

I wouldn't go that far. This is the 1stst time I've had Bluetooth issues with Samsung. Hopefully everyone leaves feedback on this app explaining their issue.

I hope you are right. They have Bluetooth transmitters available, but I'm hoping for a fix.

I gotta get back to you on this problem we have. I found a solution. But after testing it for some time, I see that it still requires some user intervention rather than just being automatic connection like its suppose to be.

Ok. I got it! Its been a stable link all day and automatically connects like before the UI 8 update. Don't believe me? [Watch my video then] let me know if you can see and hear the video posted, I don't post youtube regularly. https://youtube.com/shorts/nY5THPvlvKM?si=vWstABNOsK6Ahtu_

When I finalize instructions... I will post them in here. By the way, Like the Video so I can gauge how widespread this issue is.

Here's the instructions...

I take no responsibility for the following instructions. Though the end result for me, I was able to get my head unit in my car to connect automatically to my phone and allowed me once again to stream my music apps and talk on the phone through my cars sound system like I did before the UI 8 update.

I am using a Samsung S24 Ultra, what you may have may be different but the instructions should be pretty similar if using a Android Operating system. Also, this may not work for everyone.

Goto SETTINGS

Scroll all the way to the bottom, and Tap on โ€˜About Phoneโ€™

Scroll down and Tap โ€˜Software Informationโ€™

Scroll down to โ€˜Build numberโ€™ and Tap it 7 or more times till it ask for YOUR PASSORD

Once you have enter your password, it will say โ€˜Developers Option is Unlockedโ€™

Now at the top of your phone, Tap the arrow on the left of Software Information to go back to About Phone, then Tap the left arrow next to About Phone

You should now be back at Settings, scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see โ€˜Developers optionsโ€™

[okay, so again, I take no responsibility. Once you are in Develops option, if you decide to tap on other stuff that I have not given any instruction for and you change those parameters and your phone takes a dump. ITโ€™S NOT MY FAULT.]

Tap โ€˜Developers optionsโ€™

Carefully scroll down to the 57th line, it should say โ€˜Bluetooth AVRCP Versionโ€™ yours should say below that AVRCP 1.5(Default)

Tap on โ€˜Bluetooth AVRCP Versionโ€™

Now change it from 1.5 to 1.3 then back out of all of this and RESTART your phone.

If everything is done right. Your head unit should be able to link with your phone automatically on startup of your vehicle.

[you can search online about Bluetooth AVRCP Version, and you can read up about the different versions]
