So I have the One UI 8. I've already cleared partition cache, app cache, rebooted. I'm trying to see if anyone else is having issues with:

Sound levels - for some reason my sound levels keep changing on their own. For instance my notifications sound level keeps going to max and I keep turning it down. It's almost daily I end up getting startled because my phone blares a notification sound.

Messages - Bubbles setting has set itself to "selected only." Twice now I've had to go in and set it to none.

I haven't noticed those behavior either.

Things I can think of you could try:
โ–ช๏ธŽ In phone Settings > Sounds and vibration > Volume > (the vertical ellipses / 3 dots) > Media volume limit, is it on, and if so, to what volume limit? (85db is the lowest.)
โ–ช๏ธŽ Have you already had messages pop-up as a bubble? If so, is it random, or consistently one particular conversation or contact?

Media volume limit is on and I get the message all the time it's stopping me from increasing the volume past max limit when I'm working out and wanting to blast my music. I didn't think the media volume limit worked on like ringtone, notifications, etc other than on like.music and movies.

For messages it's two different people. One an iPhone user and the other and android user.

OK. Let's try this:

Turn off media limit. Then check that the Ringtone volume is at the level you are comfortable with by going to its settings in "Sounds and vibration", and clicking on the selected sound. (For example, if the current sound is Beep-Beep, click on Beep-Beep.) Do the same for "Notification sound" volume. Then turn your media limit back on.

For those two contacts, it's likely that bubble pop-up is now turned on for them and may be resetting the bubble settings back to "selected". If you haven't deleted the conversation with them yet, open that conversation, click the vertical ellipses > Details > Notifications, and turn off "Bubble this conversation". After you do that for the second conversation/contact, BEFORE leaving that settings, reset the "Bubble settings for this app" to none.

I tried this. It didn't help. I thought it did at first but then today out of no where my notification was max volume. Thanks for the possible correction.

I suppose you could try clearing the system cache. You can find the instructions in this "Best practices after an update" FYI ( https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Mobile/Best-Practices-After-an-Update/ba-p/3200871?src=ShareByUs...). Other than that, you may want to send a feedback about this in the Support page.

BTW, did the bubble messages also come back?

I did the delete cache partition thing after the update and then once again recently for good measure. I deleted app cache for messages. I haven't seen a bubble yet so ๐Ÿคž.

Is delete notification sounds app cache if I could figure out how to do that.

I'm afraid there is no independent app for notification sounds. I even looked in my own phone.

That's what I figured. In the meantime I've turned sound off on my phone. At least this way I won't be startled out of deep thought while trying to work.
