Please allow us to customize notification color/sounds for each contact/app.

When using the "Lighting Effect color by key word" you can only do one color. The edge Lighting let's you do different styles for overall notifications but not choose a style or color for each app/contact.

As far as I know, you can't change the edge lighting color per app/contact, but you can change sounds.

For messages:
In Google Messages, open a conversation, tap the contact name, go to notifications, adjust the sound for that person.

For calls:
Open the contact card for the contact you want to change > More > Change ringtone/vibration

For general notifications, you will have to enable Notification categories.
Settings > Notifications > Advanced Settings > Manage notification categories for each app > ON

Then, Settings > Notifications > App Notifications > Desired app > Notification Categories > Change the desired notification sounds.

Thank you the useful information!

I just wish I was able to change the color for each contact or app. I know it has the auto pick but when I get texts from different people it all just one color.

Thank you again!

I agree with you that different color would help, and I can confirm with CEParsons that there is not much in adjustable options accept to use alternatives. I myself use different ringtones and notification sounds for one or two contacts of mine.

That said, there is an app (which I emphasize I have never used myself) called "True Edge: Notification Buddy" by newGen Mobile that may offer more options and control. Again, I don't know how good or reliable it is, but at least you have that avenue to choose.
