Does anyone know how to mute sounds on my phone if I'm wearing ear buds and hearing the sounds through the buds? I'm pretty sure I used to have this setting but now I'm hearing sounds from both!
Sound assistant seemed to help, the funny thing is I don't think I ever did that before but the results seems good! Thanks everyone for all your suggestions!
I think they changed the setting and then created sound assistant. There are an equal number of people who want the sounds only in their buds when they are wearing them, as there are who prefer to hear only their music through their ear gear. Sound Assistant gives one the choice. You can see I am in the camp of wanting the sounds in my ears (except the alarms - who needs those blasting their ear drums?)

I've always had should asst but never used it this way. I don't listen to music, but when I'm wearing buds I want the sounds my phone makes to be in my ear, no one else needs to hear all the notifications etc, tbh, all the sounds drive my husband(Apple user) crazy😂
Drove me crazy for years that I could not hear my sounds through my buds, and while wearing the buds, I could not hear the sounds from the phone if it was tucked away. I was delighted to find this setting. I agree, no one should hear our sounds but us.
