I'm not fond of Google messages and how it connects everything, it's just a preference

Is there a different default i can download? I can't seem to do a Samsung text anymore it just keeps going to Google texting now, is this just the new default?

Samsung Messages doesn't come pre-installed on S25 phones, but according to several articles I've seen, you should be able to download it from Samsung's Galaxy Store.

I don't like Google's app either and I'm upset that Samsung's version is apparently going to be discontinued ar some point. I couldn't care less about RCS. I like the Samsung app because I like the interface and organization options better.

I see a lot of posts from people who like an app called Textra. I haven't tried this one myself though.

The Samsung Messages is available form Samsung's Galaxy Store. It was simply not made the default messaging app being replaced with Google's version with the S25 series, although that may change later this year or with the S26. Open the Galaxy Store app and type "Samsung Messages" in search and go form there.

It's the 1.0 version. It's the 15 not the same. Seems to be an older version

I wrote about this last week, Samsung Messages when downloaded no longer supports rcs features and I wasn't able to send any MMS. I had to go back to Google and it's less desirreable esoteric design. Sorry for your loss, the feeling is mutual though.

Textra is indeed great but they also have another one, same developer, called chomp and I love it! Both are terrific but I'm sticking with chomp at the moment, I too, couldn't care less about rcs
