Galaxy S25I upgraded from S22 Ultra to S24 Ultra just a few months ago. Nothing was wrong with that S22 Ultra, but it was starting to show its age somewhat. For me, depending on the device, it's one to two years. I use foldables too, and so far, have been upgrading to a new Fold every year, but there are more meaningful changes with foldables so far. With my Galaxy S devices, I decided every other year is good enough to stay relatively fresh on things.

Galaxy S25So... I have been with the Note series since the Note 2. I switched from an iPhone 4 for the larger screen and stylus. Since that time, I stayed with the Note series, upgrading every other year, or sometimes EVERY year. Since owning the Note series, I have lost many features, and really only gained one, now I am losing that too. The air actions came with the Note 3 if I recall correctly (I skipped the 3 but owned the 4). Since the last note phone was the Note 20 (which I did have) I had to transition to the S Ultra series and found a concerning precedent: Samsung "researchers" are trying to save Samsung money. They researched the Spo2 (oxygen sensor) and decided to move it to the watches (phone prices increased). They researched the Power brick, and discovered that most users had a drawer full of them so started to not include these (phone prices went up). Then they determined that the SD card slot, and the stereo mini port was not used widely, so they were removed (phone prices went up). Now we are losing the only feature that was ever added (apart from slight performance/battery capacity/ and storage/memory capacity upgrades) is now being removed from the S-pen? So, the Note 2 had more features now than the S25 Ultra, and cost lass that 50% of the cost of the S25 Ultra? Why does removing a feature cost so much? I will not be upgrading my S24 Ultra, despite having extra money that is burning a hole in my pocket. The S25 is a negligible upgrade anyway, giving only a slight performance bump, an upgrade to the selfie camera (which makes it have the same selfie camera we had on the S23 ultra, which they downgraded for the S24 Ultra mind you, so not even a new upgrade) and finally giving us the 5 year old 25w wireless charging tech that other phones have had for years.
The meme of Fry from Futurama saying Shut up and take my money is not usable here...

Galaxy S25I have the S22 Ultra and I use my S Pen daily. I was going to upgrade, but NOT now. Samsung took away the best features and reason for having the pen. Using it as a remote to take pictures with huge groups is a massive plus. Even iPhone users think that's awesome. I'll keep my current phone. This is a deal breaker for me.

Galaxy S25I would like to know how they know if I use my Spen and how offen lol, is it a survey? And who did they ask? Because me and my friends use the blue tooth options all the time, at least 3-4 time a day. Plus I use when I play my games and other things. Been waiting on the s25 Altra, was so leaning towards upgrading, then i hear this so disappointing. I have been using the spen since the very first note, which i still own. The spen was behind that first purchase. Definitely not upgrading now, will stay with my s23 altra , I also still have my note 20. Way to go Samsung.

Galaxy S25I am also not happy about loosing s pen Bluetooth functionality, using the pen to snap pictures was a great feature that they should keep .
