I downloaded Netflix from the Google Play store. I got a notification on the Galaxy store an update was available. When I click update all, it tells me it can't because I downloaded it from the Google Play store, but when I check the Google Play store there's no update available. Does anyone have a fix for this?

@ChadwickS25 The solution is to delete the Netflix app. Then download it from the Galaxy store.

That's probably what I'll do. It's the only app that does this.

It is best to use the one from the Galaxy Store, it is optimized for Samsung phones.

I don't see how that's accurate when considering it's the Netflix app. Good lock yes, but not Netflix.

@ChadwickS25 The reason any 3rd party app is in the Galaxy store is because it is optimized for Samsung devices or offers some special feature for Samsung devices.

What Special features would it have over downloading through the Google Play store? I have multiple streaming apps on my phone and Netflix is the only one with this behavior.

It could be optimized for Samsung APIs over generic Android APIs. This could result in better battery life and overall performance.

Could result? Has anyone tested this? I'm barely going to use Netflix anyway, I was just curious as to why.

That would be for you to test, considering you are the doubter.
