My phone immediately goes to mute when I receive or make a phone call. HELP!

Why does my phone go to mute whenever I make or receive a call! Very irritating

Mute as they can't hear you or you can't hear the caller

Go to settings, search for Motion and Gestures and be sure that this setting is off as moving your hand will activate mute. That or, are you using earbuds and tapping them to mute or something like that?
