Messages after restart

If i restart my phone i get a ton of messages that i didn't recieve in real time. Whats wrong, how can I fix this? Thanks in advance

Samsung Messages is slowly being discontinued and losing a lot of features. The app may suffer issues because of the phasing out. I highly recommend you make the move to Google Messages.

Pay no attention to the google addicts. Samsung messages is not being phased out. There are several tech magazines who had to print retractions from saying so. Samsung messages is getting updated with 8.5.
