I upgraded to the s25 ultra from the z flip 5 and I had no idea the music player was in the quick panel and not notifications. It's so incredibly tedious and obnoxious having to pause music now etc

Another issue I have is that you can no longer organize apps by alphabetical order without it making you scroll up and down when that's not how I prefer it. I prefer left and right so I spent 3 hours organizing my apps in alphabetical order because of this overall I just hate one ui7 it's so inconvenient and not user friendly

Why did Samsung think that this was ok??? I almost wanna return the phone and keep my flip 5 šŸ™ƒ

I don't think Samsung realized the amount of pushback they would get by having media player only on the Quick Panel. When I was on the Ui7 Beta on my S24U, the complaints were loud, and many. When Samsung released the Beta for the Fold 7 not only was the media player added to the notification shade, but it was also added to the status bar along with Google Scores, you are able to toggle between the 2. This came to the S24U in Beta 5. It is probably why it took so long for Beta 5 to be released.
I was on Beta 4 on my S24u back in January before I withdrew from the Beta to rollback before my trade-in.

Personally, I don't want it on my notification panel to distracting, I just want notifications. A double swipe gets me to the media player if I need to use it. I usually access it from my Now Bar on my Lockscreen or AOD.
I don't even want it on my Status Bar, I have most things turned off on my status bar.

I don't think Samsung realized a whole bunch of things with their grand redesign of One UI.

Cool. As far as not wanting it on the notification panel, that should be optional. I get software creations to be sold as features for operating systems on smartphones not being made democratically, but if adding features back but leaving them out on the latest model would be a near game changer for me.

The 23 and 24 were just not compelling enough to warrant upgrading from 22 and even going from the 21 to the 22 was a minor jump. Many reviewers complaints over the last two years, and especially with S25 ultra, is Samsung keeping essentially much of the same hardware, except for the 8 Gen series iterations, have been unremarkable at best with software changes trying to improve on them, especially the camera system. They just can't keep rehabilitating virtually the same hardware with software upgrades as any real or substantive changes for the money.

Samsung has a huge market and probably feels that market is dependable, so don't make any big changes. I for one have mostly, but not overwhelmingly been pretty much a Samsung user going back to the S5 series, with an LG, Oneplus in between. But a few brands have caught up in software and Google still makes the best camera software and hardware combo going. Samsung's selling point is great quality build, design incredible customization. But those mean nothing if some of hardware changes is basic increments to not at all with software changes.

I'm not into brand loyalty, just a device even at premium money offers a good purchase I feel is worth. At this point, Samsung will have to offer substantially better hardware with better software for the money, especially in the camera system where even the Oneplus 13 rivals the S25 ultra for $300 less. I wish the US would lift that ridiculous ban on Chinese phones as would have def opted this year for the X200. (end rant 😊}

Prior to the Samsung the keynote announcement of the S25 series, I already knew the biggest upgrade would be the Qualcomm Snapdragon X80 5G-RF modem, this was the MAIN reason for me to upgrade. It has been a game changer for me in my apartment . It was. awful. I went from 30 to 800

Hi, I probably not know how to do it, but I was wondering if any one within this community knows how to make Spotify to show in the notification bar when the phone is unlocked. I can see timers showing in the notification bar but I just can't get Spotify to show. I've tried many things and nothing. Any thought?? Thanks

As of right now, it only appears in the Now Bar on the lockscreen, AOD, and Quick Panel. It can't be seen in the notification shade or status barl.
I think it will come to the notification shade and status bar in a future update.
It has been added to those areas in Beta 5 on the S24, Fold, and Flip 6 series of phones.
It was a frequent complaint in the Beta, so it was added.

Please bring back the ability to have my currently playing media in the notification bar if I have Notifications and quick panel selected as "Together". I now need multiple swipes just to change a song or rewind/fast forward. The Now button is bad enough being tiny and on the bottom of the screen. Isnt the whole point of Android that we arent stuck without options like iOS users?

You can expand the card by tapping on it and get full access.
You can even on your AOD using double tap, stop, previous track and next track. 1740692842833.jpg
