Google play system still outdated after OneUI 8 stable update

Are you guys still on July Google play system after the OneUI 8 stable update? It doesn't show me any new update for that, is it correct?

Separate context, the Smartswitch app will allow for you to check if there's a newer firmware available. If it asks do you want to backup your settings prior to your update thats normally indicative of a pending revision. Google Play will verify if there's an out of date play component, Samsung "Store" will allow you to verify the rest ia updated but may not be available depending on region. You can verify manually by going to settings>about phone > software information and clicking on Google Play system. It should show something like this.

I had the S24U, which is still on Google's July update. I just brought the S25U and it's still on Google's July update. Anyone have any updates?

Samsung will resume Play system updates this month. See this article for more info:

So, what gives Samsung? You told inquisitors that in January 2026, you would start allowing this to be updated again on your phones. Well here we are Feb 2nd 2026 no update yet. Me along with probably the majority of your customers are sitting on September 2025 update, if not older...these updates do have a function, and I feel it's a disservice to keep us from getting them. Can't you're team separate those on beta builds and stable builds so you know for sure there will be no problems with updating? With as big a company as you are, I'd figure this wouldn't be a problem.

Same on beta one ui 8.5 on November update and I heard from sammyguru.com we should get one this week or next week

My a53 got updated to November few days ago

Even if they resume updates soon, I think November is the most current anyone's going to be until 8.5 officially rolls out. I have a feeling they're gatekeeping features. Shocker.

They claim its done because they thoroughly test out the Google updates before releasing to ensure the fixes work and don't cause other issues however what company doesn't do this? Also, there are many high priority vulnerabilities that have been patched in the Google updates and all this rigorous testing is leaving phones vulnerable to many issues since my last update of September 25. What's more, if you add up all of the vulnerabilities patches in Samsungs s25 through 2025 and compare to googles equivalent, Samsung had to patch for vulnerabilities which means all this thorough testing wasn't done effectively despite the claims
