This might not be necessarily true. In a tear down video done by Zach Wilson ( Jerryrigeverything) the charging coil is still there. Whether it is just to activate removal, we will never know. If it is a charging coil, the rest is software based. The software is not on the S25U for Bluetooth controll. Maybe the initial rumors were true and Samsung changed their mind about releasing a Bluetooth version for separate purchase.
At unpacked the manager who lead the design of the S25 Ultra spoke to us. One question we had was about the removal of Bluetooth for the S25 Ultra S Pen. He confirmed that it was removed from the S25 Ultra.
I would like to see an optional Bluetooth S pen be released as well even if I needed to charge it outside of the phone the every once in a while it would need charged
They would need to sell the Bluetooth pen separately, because samsung pulled the battery and Bluetooth last minute from the pen. The phone still had the wireless charging coil for the pen, but the pen itself has a gigantic cavity where the battery used to be, which is also a new point of physical failure for the pen now because they didn't reinforce the new cavity. Because of this there is no way to software update the 25U to have a Bluetooth pen.
