Found a solution for the Camera rings around the lens

While I love almost everything about my S25U, two things bugged me.

1. The camera ring had a small space between the back glass and the bottom of the ring; dust collected in that space.

2. The black ring itself wasn't as aesthetically pleasing as my S24U's.

I found a solution: camera lens protectors fixed both things. The lenses sit flush with the back glass, eliminating dust collection, and added a titanium ring border to cover some of the black ring, better matching my rails.

Now it is perfect!

Unfortunately when you try to take the lens protectors off it will most likely take the fake Samsung glued down camera rings with it. Happened to me. I used the ESR lens protectors they come with a little tool so it's easy to get the lens protectors off but it took the black rings with it. Be careful when you take them off.

Hey, i took my lens protector off and one of the rings came off one on side, but I managed to stick it back on and only take the protector off, I am wondering if this will ruin the phone's water proofing?

i saw some water underneath the lens protector, took them off, partially took of the phone's camera ring for the middle camera managed to stick it back on and only put the lens protector back on, but because the camera ring is now compromised does this ruin the phone's waterproofing? and the phone bootlooped I let it dry for a bit but it wont launch the cameras, the only interaction the phone has had with water is rain. 😞

I'm so sorry that happened to you, this has to be one of my favorite Galaxy's software wise but the gluing of the camera rings to me is appalling. We spent a lot of money on these phones they shouldn't have glued them. Yes, I would say now the water resistance near that camera lens is now compromised, because the glue is the sealant on the rings and now that sealant is broken like mine and moisture can get under the lens. If you have Samsung Care Plus you need to get in contact with Samsung so they can put the adhesive back on the rings if you don't just push the ring back as best as you can making sure it's completely on there don't take the phone in the bathroom when you take a hot shower if you go outside in the rain keep it in your pocket protect it from water just to be on the safe side now. But I would worry about moisture more than physical water getting on it.

Same thing happened to me 30mins ago, also ESR lens.
