Galaxy S25Samsung doesn't just accept Google Android updates without scrutiny. Samsung uses the Android operating system on its Galaxy phones and tablets, but it heavily customizes it with its own "One UI" software skin. This means that when Google releases a new version of Android, Samsung has to:
Adapt the update for its specific hardware: Each Samsung device has different components (screens, chipsets, etc.), and the Android update needs to be configured to work with them.
Integrate One UI and its features: Samsung has to merge the new Android features with its own One UI interface and features, which takes time and effort.
Test the update thoroughly: Before releasing the update to users, Samsung conducts extensive testing to ensure that it's stable and free of bugs.
Coordinate with carriers: In some cases, carriers may also need to test and approve the update before it's released to their customers.
Maybe i'm wrong. That's fine. The update still sucks though and apparently apple has done some similar updates. This is an actual problem. People at my work place, my friends, wife, etc...we don't get the same notifications. None of us have gotten used to actually unlocking our phones and checking apps regularly.

Galaxy S25Samsung allows customization through it's Good Lock modules. Some modules have not yet been updated to allow this particular customization. Perhaps the Good Lock team is working on it, I don't know.

Galaxy S25ok, but I don't know why anyone would want the clutter of more than 3 icons. If you see even one icon, you know you have notifications to look at, having more of them isn't going to cause you to look or not look at the notifications.

Galaxy S25I know everybody has different preferences, I just don't understand why people want their status bar so cluttered up and messy. There is only so much real estate on the bar and some people get a lot of notifications. You can have all the icons you want on the lock screen. If one sees all the little icons there, the have to pull the shade down to read their notifications anyway, so why bother with even more than one icon? Three is more than sufficient to know it needs attention. Even if it's a junk notification, you don't need to look at, you still have to pull the shade to dismiss it.
