Edge lighting not working

I have not been able to get edge lighting to work on my 25 Ultra. I've done everything except a factory reset. Any suggestions. All app have been updated. Using Google Messages

Do you have your notification style set to Brief or Details in the Notification settings?

I've only found Edge lighting to work when "Show as pop-up" is enabled in the app's notification settings. It's the same page with the Alert/Silent, Sound, Vibrate etc. toggles.

I've had the same issue and asked the community also for some type of solution or explanation. I've heard that the lighting color around the phone can be changed. But the bubble color cannot, as it will stay the same color as the wallpaper background.

I've also observed that if you are in a different app and the screen is white, Your bubble notification will come in white and clear.

For those of you who have the issue of only being able to use basic edge lighting animations, even though you have more options, this is for you:

Go to accessibility settings - Vision Enhancements - turn off "Reduce Animations"

(For S25. Hopefully it works on other phones also, let me know.)
