When I download emailed or texted pictures they go into my internal folders (Samsung Galaxy 25). I want them to go into my Gallery app like they did on my old Galaxy phone.

Are you using Google Messages? Just saved an image from google messages to test and it immediately populated in the gallery.

Are you in the correct folder in your gallery app? Make sure you are looking at Recents instead of Camera to see all photos, including downloads.

They are in your gallery app. The gallery app is only a viewer for your photos. All photos go into your DCIM folder with sub folders, such as download, messages and any folders you have created.

Messages photos will be in Messages folder and email photos will be in your download folder in the Gallery app .

If you have your gallery set to open to show only essential albums, you will not see the albums that get automatically created by certain apps such as Facebook, Instagram and messaging.  The albums are created automatically when you download the photos, but unless you select "show all" for the albums, they will not be visible.

Email apps will not auto-create their own folders like social media apps etc, at least the ones I have used never have. You could create a folder in the Gallery named "Email", then in the emails themselves that have the images, they can then be downloaded to that folder when selected to that path. In the Gallery app, click on the Albums icon, then at the top click on the + sign, add an album and name it.

As far as messages, I do not know about Samsung's version as I do not use it. But in Google messages, a folder is created called "Messages", but one has to tap the image in the received messages, then click on the download symbol at the top and it then will be saved in the "Messages" folder.

I did just actually test a downloaded image from email and while the image file actually landed in my downloads folder, the gallery immediately created a "downloads" album with the image in it.
