Has anyone else noticed, since One UI 8 from 19 Sep 2025, that quickly double tapping the Recents button does not work (switch back to the previous app), if "quickly" is too fast. I have to double tap less quickly in order to switch to the previous app.

Thoughts?

Thank you very much for the support. 👍

I will check to see if another app is interfering with the behavior I had in OneUI 7.

@Mujibar Love the icon.  One of my favorite superheroes. If you have the S25 Ultra unlocked and you are not having this experience, I will need to put on my "cowl" and dig deeper.

@realaud Unless my memory is deteriorating (recently retired), I don't think I used a routine, but I will check.

No issues here with double tap, and I'm tapping as quickly as I can. If anything, the system seems to take longer to switch apps.

Double tapping my recents button brings up the app I programmed it to in my routine.

I have the S23U. Not sure device would matter in this case. Did you clear device cache after the update?

1) Turn off your device.

[Your device may need to be connected to a powered USB device (ex: computer) before proceeding to the next step.]

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.

The problem was MacroDroid.  I guess I'm 'losing it'.

Enjoy your week!
