The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra supports Qualcomm for aptX, is that the family of APTX including aptX HD, aptX Classic, and aptX Adaptive? Is the phone designed to intelligently select the most appropriate aptX codec based on the capabilities of the connected earbuds? @Samsung

When you go into developer options you will find all the supported codec It doesn't support Qualcomm aptX adaptive.

To turn on developer options, go to settings, about phone, software information, tap on the Build Number 7 times, it will tell you how many you have left. Put in your pin, go back out to settings main page and at the bottom you will see developer options. The easiest way to search is on the main settings page in the search box, type in Bluetooth Codec . Scroll down to developer options, Bluetooth it will take you straight to all Bluetooth settings.

Yes I've got developer options open. I've read the code s I am seeing could be the entire suite or just Qualcomm for APTX. If you Google search it apparently the s25 ultra supports all the codecs but in developer options I only see Qualcomm for APTX so I didn't know that meant it supports the entire suite or not

Just Qualcomm aptX audio. Samsung only goes up to 96kbps, with their Codec
Qualcomm adaptive is between 272-420kbps

I don't think Samsung maxes out at 96kbps, that would be awful for sound quality. I think you mean 96khz? But I don't think Qualcomm's specs reach that level. 96khz is the penultimate best sample rate with the highest being 192khz (IIRC).
To be clear, figures showing **khz are samples rates and ***kbps are bitrates. They are different things but operate jointly.

Sample rates are sound examples and bitrates are data rates used to produce sound of those sample rates into an output. There are music apps out there that can play over a 1k bitrate output, but they are pricy. An example of sound output spec would typically be represented like this, 320kbps (48khz sampling).

I would like to ask whether the S25 Ultra supports aptX Adaptive and aptX HD.
My phone is an S25 Ultra, purchased in the United States and used in the United States.
In developer mode, I did not see support for aptX Adaptive or aptX HDā€”only the standard aptX.
My headphones are Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless, and when connecting to the S25 Ultra, it only uses standard aptX. I did not see support for aptX Adaptive or aptX HD.

If you didn't see it, it doesn't support it. Not on Samsung, Pixel or iPhones.
I think the only phone that supports that Codec is Xiaomi.

But the official Samsung customer service told me that it is supported, so I am very confused.mmexport1740968099714_1000003283_1740968099.png

If you don't see it when you are connected in the Bluetooth codec listing it's not there. Do they support it in other markets, I don't know.
