Can't use Samsung TTS

Hi there!

I' coming from a S24 Ultra and I have used a custom backup. After setting up everything in my new S25 Ultra, I notice that it always use Google TTS instead Samsung TTS despite I have selected the Samsung TTS. For example, in a macro from Macrodroid app.

I've tried to uninstall all Samsung downloaded voices and reseting the Accesibility settings but it doesn't work.

Any suggestion before to try reset everything? 😒

without TTS it is getting useless now.

Wow, that's not a great update. Samsung TTS should be available on my phone everywhere, not at a specific service

Same here, I can only see Google TTS engine in MacroDroid, in fact I even posted in the MacroDroid forum to ask for help but no replies! 

I don't like the Google voice, it sounds really nasal to me. The Samsung one is loads better so it's disappointing to hear they're restricting its use by non-Samsung apps.

I have been facing the same problem. The Samsung voices that I downloaded are at least 50 MB above where as Google voices are all below 30 MB. So apparently, Samsung voices are much high quality, but I can't use them in Google Play Books. It's not fair because Google and Samsung are working together with Android. They should be able to use each other's features Seamlessly.

Either Google has to step up and bring back high quality voices or Samsung needs to fix this issue because

Same issue, mentioned that Google's TTS is used across all apps, which has quite annoying voice. I was very happy with Samsung TTS, please bring it back.

My partner uses a Samsung tablet as an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device. Samsung has taken the voice he's used to speak to the world.


TTS is an accessibility option and Samsung's decision is hurting disabled people like my partner.

this is the struggle I'm having. the only voice options offline are all women. the online voice that's the only man voice option sounds almost exactly like what the old voice was almost exactly. it's super frustrating!
