I recently changed from Pixel 7 to Galaxy S25 after the pixel died. Everything initially looked to have come across from the cloud but I have noticed a text message I received a year which had a gift card attachment is no longer displaying any attachment.
Is there a way I can retrieve it? I could see the gift card a month ago on my Pixel.
I don't know why your attachment would have been stripped during the transfer, but why on earth wouldn't you download your gift certificate to your phone as soon as you got it or sent it to your email?
SMS/MMS texted are intended to be receive within thirty days, read, then discarded. They are stored on carrier servers in accordance with regional laws. It may be able to have your carrier resend this information, but, in the US, it is usually only provided to proper legal entities by a valid subpoena to protect privacy. Your carrier may not accept your request over the phone, or in writing, without one.
