Hey! Anyone else having camera issues with their S25U? Like, when I switch to 0.6x or portrait mode, I get this weird glare/glitch, and there's a ticking sound with it. Hope to hear answers.

I wouldn't call that glare, it looks more like the scene is just out of focus. I don't get audible ticking from the mechanical focus on my S25U, though I think there is a setting somewhere to cause an audio ticking when doing things llike adjusting the focus. It can take up to a few seconds for the autofocus to find a subject and focus on it. It tends to take longer when there is less contrast but you can usually see that on-screen from it scanning the full range of focal lengths and back for the camera, which might cause a mechanical click at each end of the focal length range. The example appears to have plenty of contrast, though there may be too much depth and detail but not enough contrast at that point from what I do see so that the default autofocus may be fooled. You can try using the multi-point autofocus for a scene like that, or choosing a subject by touching and holding the screen at it for a second or two. That point doesn't follow any hand movements of the phone so you might have to use it more than once if you pan or tilt the phone.

If you can attribute the ticking to a mechanical component and not audio from the speakers it's probably worth taking it back to the reseller, a Samsung service center or starting a Samsung support incident. I think the local options rather than Samsung central are generally preferred by most people.

As you switch between options like Portrait (minimum 1x zoom) and Photo (minimum 0.6x zoom) then the camera app has to change the sensor used to show 0.6x zoom. It can't fill in detil from outside the frame and the only camera with less than 1x zoom is the 50MP UW camera, which is fixed at 0.6x optical zoom. It's probably not a good choice for the camera app in portrait mode because zoom levels less than 1x have a tendency to distort subject shapes with slight tilt of the camera relative to the subject and introduce unpleasant effects like barrel distortion on full frame subjects. So, switching modes beetween Photo at 0.6x to Portrait or vice-versa almost certainly changes the camera used. That might cause a ticking sound but I've never heard any and my hearing is good enough. Check the camera app and phone settings for settings about click or tick and see if any relate to the cameras. If set, turn them off. If no such setting exists consider expert advice from a service center or retail sellers (who usually are service centers). If the S25U is still under warranty they might fix it there and then.

Things like the optical image stabilization (OIS) might cause a ticking when adjusting the lens for movement but I have never noticed it and I don't have perfectly stable hands. Sweeping the full focal length range to find a point of focus would tend to make a ticking sound at the end-stops in each direction but if that happens I would expect it to affect a limited set of the cameras due to an error in the lens installation but not affect all 5 actual camera devices in the phone (unless the whole rear lens assembly was badly installed but then it might only be expected to affect all 4 rear cameras but not the selfie camera). That would be best dealt with at a service center.

My family member had a s25 Ultra and it was doing the same it does that you have to put it on regular and play with your settings cuz I have the s24 ultra and I play with the settings and there's none of that ticking or glare
